In 2013, Tyler "Sully" Sullivan's passion project took flight. After developing innovative golf club heads, he eagerly tested them at a driving range. The results were astounding – a 300-yard drive with pinpoint accuracy. This wasn't just luck; Sullivan's design had genuinely revolutionized the game.

Challenging the Status Quo
The golf equipment industry is a multibillion-dollar behemoth dominated by a few key players. Undeterred, Sullivan, a former high-school golfer, set out to disrupt the market with his groundbreaking Grenade driver. By partnering with the University of Vermont's engineering department, Sullivan created a game-changing club that prioritized pure engineering over marketing gimmicks.
Innovative Design, Exceptional Results
The Grenade Driver boasts a unique two-piece production process, enhancing energy transfer. Specialized divots increase head speed, while a standard 10.5-degree loft provides unparalleled forgiveness and accuracy. Sullivan's commitment to innovation has yielded impressive results, with the Grenade Driver outperforming similar models.
Running Lean, Achieving Success
To maintain affordability and personalized customer service, Sullivan handles assembly, shipping, and marketing solo. By selling directly to consumers through his website, he avoids high retail markups. This lean approach has propelled BombTech Golf to profitability, with $100,000 in sales in 2013 and an expected $500,000 by the end of 2014.
A David vs. Goliath Story
While industry analysts may view Sullivan's endeavors as quixotic, he remains undaunted. Focused on innovation and quality, BombTech Golf continues to gain traction among amateur golfers. With a growing community and expanding product line, Sullivan's underdog story is one to watch.
